Speaker Bios More detailed speaker bios Bob Broz is a state water quality specialist with University of Missouri Extension and has been working in this area since 1993. Prior to that time he raised livestock and taught vocational agriculture focusing on adult farm planning. He has degrees in animal husbandry and Extension/agricultural education and recently has focused on watershed management planning to improve economic and environmental viability in rural communities. Claire Baffaut - Bachelor in engineering in France, 1984; PhD in hydrology (School of Civil Engineering) from Purdue University, 1988; I work at the Food and Agricultural policy research Institute since 1999. I am responsible for watershed analyses and research studies. Peter Scharf - Peter is originally from Wisconsin and is now a Nutrient Management Specialist at the University of Missouri. Ron Plain - Dr. Ronald L. Plain is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He serves as Program Leader for Ag Extension within the Division of Applied Social Sciences on campus. Ron received his B.S. and Masters degrees in Agricultural Education from the University of Missouri and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University. His areas of expertise include livestock marketing, farm management and swine production. Representative Brian Munzlinger, a Republican, represents Clark, Knox, Lewis, Schuyler, Scotland and part of Marion and Adair counties (District 1) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He currently serves on the following committees: Chairman of the Special Committee on Agribusiness; Appropriations – Agriculture & Natural Resources, and Transportation. In addition to his legislative duties, Representative Munzlinger is actively farming.
